11. Group Management

Group management is a way to manage multiple servers at the same time. For example, you can query the fan

sensor reading from multiple servers and note their differences. Also, you can simultaneously power on or off

multiple servers at the same time. As shown in Figure 11-1, click Manage>Group to show group management.

In group management, you can select multiple servers from the host group on the left and manage them with the

functions provided. You may make groups of servers in the group list to make server group management easier.

For group management, a Login ID and password are required. Click Manage > Setting to set the login

information. Please note that IPMIView will use this account to login to multiple servers. (Figure 11-2)

IPMIView provides various tools for group management. As shown in Figure 11-3, group management can be

separated to the following category.
